Following Deborah Harry's 2007 solo effort, "Necessary Evil", Blondie began an extensive world-wide tour, promoting the 30th Anniversary of the release of "Parallel Lines". During this time, the band members started writing material for the next Blondie album. As is usual during such periods wehere there are no new studio albums being marketed, the record labels continued to churn out the endless supply of hits compilation albums.
